The sheet material Dekton, which consists of glass, quartz and porcelain, is available at Alle Werkbladen in a variety of colours and thicknesses. Like ceramics, the surface has a closed structure, so stains can hardly penetrate. Dekton looks natural and luxurious and does not discolour under UV light. In the table below you can read all the specifications of the material:
Maximum panel size 318 x 144cm
OA = Indicative price, on request.
S = Steel in showroom
Our Dekton worktops are constructed out of an 8mm thick Dekton plate. Beneath that plate is a power board onto which the Dekton is glued. Depending on the final thickness of the worktop, the worktop is then filled with firm foam. On the underside is a plate so that the worktop completely covers the cupboards. Aluminium box sections are used on the front and back to give the worktop more rigidity. All visible sides are mitred and finished with Dekton.
Dekton is fired at over 1,000 degrees and is therefore 100% heat-resistant as a material. However, because glue is always used in the slab, there is a caveat, but a hot baking dish or pan should not be a problem.
The surface of Dekton is completely closed, so nothing can penetrate it. Even acids have no effect on the material.
Scratches are almost impossible to make on the material – this could only be done with other ceramic material.
No impregnation or oiling is necessary. Regular cleaning with warm water and a neutral detergent is sufficient to maintain the worktop’s beautiful look year after year.
The ceramic tops are completely colourfast and do not fade under UV light either.
Due to its closed surface, a Dekton worktop requires no maintenance other than daily polishing, no impregnation or oiling.
High resistance: acids, oils, soft drinks, coffee, wine, etc. In the case of really "hard" liquids, it is recommended to clean the slab as soon as possible with plenty of water (also in connection with existing glue joints).
There are several ways in which the front of your worktop can be finished. Edge finishes not shown are often available on request.
We have the following options for tops in corner arrangements:
Back panels are basically intended for use with a hob. Thus, the entire back wall at the hob from worktop to extractor is clad in the same material as the worktop. Of course, you can also use these panels to clad the entire kitchen. The plates are 60cm high as standard but available in any size.
Edging is strips up to 10cm high that are used as a finish on top of the worktop instead of tiles. Edging is made of 8mm thick ceramic and can be ordered in any height. It is made of the same material as the worktop.
Thanks to its closed structure, a Dekton worktop does not need to be impregnated or oiled. The surface is extremely resistant to stains from, for example, acids, oils, soft drinks and wine. You can easily clean the surface with water and a neutral detergent. Tough stains should be removed with plenty of water and preferably as quickly as possible.
